WHO ARE WE?
To be a place where broken people find wholeness and community through His presence, prayer and process. To help them grow in their identity, to identify God’s design for their life and step into the fullness of God’s Kingdom.
OUR FOUR VALUES
(SELECT EACH PANEL TO LEARN MORE)
The PRESENCE of God is the single most valuable piece here at Potter’s House, both corporately and individually.
We are committed to Pentecost
PRAYER is the bridge to all that God has for Potter’s House. It is the foundation on which we stand.
We are committed to prayer
We value PEOPLE; who they are, where they are and where they’re going along with the community they make up.
We are committed to connection, care & evangelism
PROCESS is the value we place on helping others become everything God created them to be.
We are committed to discipleship, expansion & development
OUR EIGHT CULTURES
To create a culture of wild praise and intimate worship. A culture where we seek to glorify God in every area (building, finances, events, etc.) Personal pursuit and intimacy with Holy Spirit. A culture where personal worship affects our corporate gatherings.
To create a culture of where The Word of God is preached, taught, received and applied. We put emphasis on the Word being the center of our beliefs and values
To create a culture of honoring people for who they are, not what they do. Not competing, comparing or criticizing.
To create a culture of being the hands and feet of Jesus, taking the towel and become second. Our desire is to serve, not be served.
To create a culture of giving and being generous with our finances toward Kingdom work in our church as well as to the nations.
To create a culture in which people who are a part of our body feel they belong to a family more than a church. We are stronger together and in community. Creating a culture of doing family well, both at home and in our body.
To create a culture of where we actively engage people who desire to walk closer with Jesus and become more like Him. To teach His commands as well as how to live as sons and daughters of God.
To create a culture of excellence in all we do and say. If we’re ever going to get “there” we have to get “here” right first. It’s not about being the best but about bringing your best.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Potter's House believes the whole Bible to be completely and equally inspired and that it is the written Word of God. We have adopted the following Declaration of Faith as our standard and official expression of our doctrine.
*In the verbal inspiration of the Bible
*In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost
*The Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That he ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the intercessor.
*That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sin.
*That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
*In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
*Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.
*In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.
*In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the Holy Ghost.
*In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
*Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
*In the Lord's Supper and washing of the Saints' feet.
*In the premillennial second coming of Jesus, First to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth for a thousand years.
*In the bodily resurrection, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
