Imagine if you will, sometime during your week, perhaps while driving, sleeping, working or worshiping, the Father in an instant in time sends His Son to catch away the redeemed! Can you imagine the exhilarating joy of knowing that you have run the race and crossed into the eternal joy of the Lord! Although the message has been declared from generation to generation, according to Scripture, it is a real event that could happen at anytime. Again, for those who are prepared it will be a time of untold rejoicing and ecstasy. For those who are not prepared, it will be the beginning of a process that will lead to untold horror. John declared that every man that has this hope, speaking of the coming of the Lord, would purify himself. He was not talking about saving ourselves because we cannot wash away our own sins, only the Lord can do that; however, he was talking about a responsive behavior that was directly connected to our expectation of the Lord’s appearance. The Bible reveals certain behaviors that are directly connected to our belief in the Lord’s coming. In James 5:8, we are instructed to be steadfast. I Corinthians 4:5 instructs us to relate to one another properly. Until then, we are to refrain from judging and relate to one another in love. Colossians 3:1-4 teaches that we should respond to life from a spiritual perspective. The Bible teaches that we should be ministry- minded and harvest-minded. And lastly, we are promised a mighty outpouring of the Spirit into our lives in the last days approaching His return. My prayer today is that you are living...looking. We are glad you are here!
